Here at Little Munchkins we strive to develop an emotionally, socially, physically and academically well-balanced child. Our low child-to-staff ratios are provided by a "nurturing, loving, and well-trained staff".
We are constantly evaluating and improving our early childhood program to provide an optimal, interesting and balanced environment of age-appropriate educational activities. We encourage children to become mentally and physically active in a variety of ways. Children are promoted developmentally, and frequent communication between parent and staff promotes a basic and comfortable trust in our care.

Little Munchkins Learning Center is an independent, privately-owned, Christian-based learning center located in Northwest Austin on Metric Blvd, between Kramer and Rutland. Our playground for younger children contains three large wooden decks with a variety of playhouses, rolling and rocking toys and interactive activities. Splash days and water activities are in the deck areas.
Entrances to the facility have secured access keypads with codes that are changed periodically. Upon arriving and leaving each day, attendance for all children and staff is recorded on a keypad entry database at the front desk.
Little Munchkins maintains a Four Star Certification in the Texas Rising Star Program. TRS is an optional and voluntary accrediation program with compliance and assessments of quality monitored through Texas WorkSource-ChildCare Solutions.
Little Munchkins is an ongoing participant in the Texas School Readiness Certification System which is administered by the Texas State Center for Early Childhood Development. This program certifies that our preschool education classrooms effectively prepare our students for kindergarten.
Little Munchkins, owned and directed by Darlene and James Corbin, began in 1976 with the purpose and mission of providing quality care and love to children in a loving environment enveloped by Christian values.
Little Munchkins Learning Center strives for excellent Pre-K education. Children learn best when they are engaged and interested, and what better way to do that than to have fun with learning? Our center is an ongoing participant in the Texas School Readiness Certification program which confirms our educational goals in preparing children for kindergarten.
After school care is provided in our center during the regular school year. We pick up children from these schools: Pillow, Summit, Davis, Cook, Parmer Lane, River Oaks and NYOS. During the summer our program involves full day care for school age children with a very active schedule of activites which is published by the second week of May.
