Defensive Driving
Defensive Driving can be taken for ticket dismissal and/or for up to a 10% discount auto insurance. This course is approved by the State of Texas.
Seat belt Course
The Seat belt Course is for people who receive a ticket for not wearing their seatbelt or for a minor not being restrained properly. This course is approved by the State of Texas.
Texas Driver Permit Preparation Course
To obtain a Texas Driver`s License, a person must first pass basic knowledge tests over Texas traffic laws and road signs before an in-car road exam can be taken. For persons interested in learning to drive, a learner`s permit may be obtained by passing the same tests over rules and signs of the road. El Centro Defensive Driving School can help you pass the state knowledge tests with an innovative, audio-visual program that makes learning easy and fun. Using our step-by-step video system, you will learn basic traffic laws and road signs, on your schedule, and at your own pace. We guarantee it! The basics program is also designed to help individuals with low level reading skills or nonreaders. It uses specially designed electronic tests that allow for oral examinations.
El Centro Defensive Driving School can also provide state driver`s licensing services on site! Students completing our basics program can test and receive their learner`s permit at our school location.
Drug and Alcohol Driving Awareness Program(DADAP)
In this course participants learn to recognize the effects of different drug types and their relationship to the driver, vehicle and roadway. Students learn about Texas laws related to alcohol, drugs, and driving. All participants become aware of the Zero tolerance laws and applicable regulations. Students learn defensive driving strategies related to alcohol/ drug impaired drivers. Participants develop an action plan to avoid the use of alcohol and/or drugs (including riding with impaired drivers). The class can be can taken for some alcohol/drug offenses.
