Boerne Yoga Center
Boerne Yoga Center, the first yoga center in Boerne, was sprouted with the sole purpose to help you discover vibrant health, inner peace and the many other incredible benefits yoga has to offer Our Classes run for eight consecutive weeks, and are taught in a progressive manner. Any level may be repeated as often as needed or desired. Yoga philosophy, pranayama, and meditation are weaved into the classes in a variety of ways. Each class is never the same. - Introduction to Yoga (Beginner). For students new to yoga, or those that have been away from yoga for awhile. A great place to begin; we will introduce the basic poses, principles of alignment, yoga philosophy, relaxation, and breathing techniques. - Yoga Basics (Beginner to Advance Beginner). Standing, forward bends, and twisting postures are emphasized. Supported Inversions and simple backbends are introduced. At this level we are cultivating body awareness as well as flexibility and strength. - Multi-Level (Advance Beginner to Intermediate). This class is designed for the student who has prior yoga experience. At this level we will build from the knowledge learned in the beginner classes and focus on refining the basic poses. We will explore introductory backbends and inversions. Yoga philosophy, pranayama (beginning yogic breathing techniques), and meditation are weaved into the classes. - Intermediate. A great class for students who are ready to progress in their practice of yoga. At this level we move into more complex poses, building upon what the beginning classes offer. The study of yoga philosophy, the practices of pranayama and meditation will be incorporated in this class. - Pranayama. Prana is usually translated as breath, and means respiration, life, vital energy and strength. Pranayama is the art and technique of intentionally controlling the breath to regulate the flow of prana throughout the body. This discipline develops mental concentration, clarity, and vibrant good health. This class is suitable for students with 6 months of an Iyengar based yoga practice. - Restorative Yoga. A sequence of supported yoga postures, breathing techniques, and meditation to calm, center and soothe your body and spirit. This class is will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. - Private Sessions can be beneficial for students with injuries and challenges, and will aid in deepening your personal home practice. If you are beginning in the middle of a series, private sessions may be suggested to bring you up to the level of the class. - Exclusive Classes. We can plan a class for your group of 5 or more to meet at the studio at your convenience. This provides an opportunity to reinforce office teamwork, and help your employees relieve stress. We can design classes for your group's interest; such as specific activities they engage in. Quality Instruction. Our instructors are among the most highly trained in the Boerne area, and are committed to excellence in making Yoga accessible to each individual body.
