Treatment Options
Although the physician will tailor a treatment plan to each individual patient, below are examples for what may be recommended in combating migraine and headache pain.
Preventative & Prophylactic Therapies – the doctor may recommend a holistic approach, initially. This includes physical therapy, strength and conditioning, as well as avoiding behaviors that trigger pain.
Attack-Aborting – over the counter medications and prescription medications used as an abortive measure when dealing with pain.
Pain Management –the use of narcotic injections, nerve blocks, heat and/or freezing treatment.
Surgical Treatment – in the most severe cases, surgery may be suggested eliminating trigger area nerves that causes the migraine in severe sufferers may be suggested

From the moment you come to our beautiful office, located in the River Oaks section of Houston, you will be welcomed by our dedicated staff and professionals. Patients will be evaluated by board certified and board eligible neurologists who have experience in treating migraine headaches. They will work closely with their patients to recommend a custom treatment plan. Patients may discuss latest treatments with their physicians including the recently FDA approved usage of Botox for migraines, as well as discuss possible surgical treatment options.
