Special Events:
- Ike Library Relief. Following the destructive visit of Hurricane Ike, Blue Willow Bookshop is initiating a nationwide campaign to rebuild the library collections of Anahuac High School, Freeport Intermediate School and, closer to home, the Alief Hastings 9th Grade Center. These schools lost more than 75% of their collections.
- For Educators. We strive to be a resource for teachers and librarians, whatever the grade level.
- American Girl Club. Blue Willow Bookshop invites girls to join our American Girl Club on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 11:00 for snacks, crafts and lots of American Girl Grins!
- Storytime. Storytime is every Thursday at 10:00 a.m. We read stories, sing songs, and do an art activity. The themes change weekly. This storytime is great for toddlers and preschoolers.
- Gifts and Games. At Blue Willow, we pride ourselves on having amazing books, adorable plush items and entertaining games. In short, it’s the perfect place to find a one-of-a-kind birthday gift that we’ll happily wrap for you.
- Book Clubs. Want a lively discussion about a book? Join one of Blue Willow Bookshop's book clubs - Coffee Cake Book Club or Tough Broads Out At Night Book Club. Welcome to Biblueophiles, Blue Willow's newest book club for teens who love books and Blue Willow Bookshop. We'll keep you informed of relevant news, including recommended titles and events. Your group may have opportunities for author interaction, by personal meetings, or phone or internet discussions. Neighborhood book clubs can register with Blue Willow and have a discount on their club purchases.
