Woodrose Winery
Woodrose Winery is best known for its quality wines and relaxed, laid back atmosphere.
The Vineyard. We have almost 2 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon in its ninth leaf of production. Our 11 acre vineyard will make exclusive estate wines which will be sold on location only. Our vineyard and winery are located on site and can be seen from the tasting room. This view, from the middle of the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, shows the winery building and the tasting room in the distance. The Winery building was modeled after the barn at the LBJ homestead in Johnson City. An up-close exterior view of the Tasting Room shows the spacious front deck and thick oak trees which surround it on three sides. Our spacious tasting room has several tables and a comfortable couch situated in front of a mosaic fireplace. We are currently growing Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvedre, Sangiovese, Syrah, and Malbec. We will be planting Petite Syrah this spring. Our multi-level deck offers seating for 60+. This is the perfect spot to host a private party, call us for details.
Wine Club. We have created a new way to share wines from the Woodrose Winery collection with you. Our wines range from refreshing whites and full-bodied red wines to our expanding line of rosés and unique blends. Each wine will further your appreciation and experience of fine Texas wines. Woodrose winery offers a distinct personal experience and an unmatched quality in the heart of a budding wine industry. We have the luxury of producing interesting and exciting blends in exclusive quantities. As a club member, you will receive shipments four times a year of pre-release, newly released, or specially blended wines.
Special Events. Woodrose Winery and Vineyards will be happy to host your next corporate event, wedding, rehearsal dinner or special occasion.
Vision. We plan to be more than just a little hill country winery. The new room will be much larger with plenty of room to accommodate our plans for increased wine production. Next to the tasting room we have broken ground on a new pavilion/dance hall which will be available for special events. We plan to build a flagstone walk with a wishing well and a bigger paved parking lot which will face the tasting room giving you the perfect view of the tasting room as well as the vineyard. Last but not least, the final step in completing Woodrose is to build eight private cottages as well as a restaurant. The best part about this is these buildings will all look out onto the new and existing vineyard.
Woodrose Winery hours: Monday - Friday 11am-6pm; Saturday 11am-7pm; Sunday 12 noon-6pm.
