The Antlers Hotel was begun in 1900 and opened May 1, 1901. The Hotel was named in part for the Antlers Hotel in Colorado Springs, a new and fashionable railroad resort that opened a few years earlier. The name also takes meaning from the fact that Llano County was then and continues to be a major deer hunting area. Why Come to the Antlers? Stay in a luxurious antique-filled hotel suite. Room Rates are for double occupancy. The original pot-bellied stove in the dining room, 12-foot ceilings, and the grand staircase add a hint of history, but all the modern conveniences have been added. Every room in the hotel has a private entry off the porch, a king-sized bed, central air and heat, private baths, telephone, and rocking chairs on the porch. Wild Plum Cottage is one of the historic buildings on The Antlers' grounds. It has 4 bedrooms with 4 baths, kitchens, TV, screened back porches, picnic tables and gas grill. There are several other multiple-bedroom cabins available. Tucked in the woods with a view of the lake or situated around the orchard, our cabins are all a short walk from the waterfront. Each has a small equipped kitchen, bedroom, living area with TV, private bath, rocking chairs on the porch and outdoor grills. The formal conference rooms seat up to 25, with white boards, Internet access, kitchenette and restroom facilities. Hotel suite living rooms can seat 8 -12 for break-out sessions or small groups. The Antlers works well for groups up to 25. There are a variety of meeting spaces, both formal and informal. Open-air log cabin with wrap around porch is perfect for informal meetings by the water. The 1890's Victorian house surrounded by rose gardens is located across from The Antler's Hotel. Seats 50-60 people. Special Events. The lawns and gardens around the hotel property provide a beautiful background for a wedding, anniversary, birthday, or surprise party. Catering available. With 15 acres, The Antlers has plenty of large lawn areas for group activities. A restored 1870 log cabin sits on the waterfront and offers a great site for visiting while watching the activity on the lake. Four docks for boating, fishing, or congregating are scattered along the 1,500 feet of waterfront and are perfect for conversation, swimming, or fishing. Three covered boat slips and a jet ski ramp are available for use by reservation. The Antlers is a smoke-free resort. No smoking is allowed in any of the accommodations. We do not permit the burning of candles in any of our rooms nor any open outdoor fires. No pets please.
