Robin's Nest is located in Houston's Museum and Arts District. Robin's Nest consists of three Historical houses setting side by side. We call them The Big Nest (c.1898 Victorian); The Little Nest (c.1920 Craftsman); and The Gandt House (c. 1938 two story sturdy brick).
The Big Nest has rooms: Cecelia's Room, Antonio's Room, Aunt Mae's Room and Ruth Ann's Room.
The Little Nest has rooms: Barbara Joyce's Room, Cindy's Room, Robert's Retreat, The Stables Apartment. Cindy's Room and Barbara Joyce's Room are in high demand for romantic getaways, anniversaries, wedding nights and weekends. They each have whirlpools for two, queen beds, private entrances and private porches. Robert's Retreat is a four-room suite which includes: Back Porch, Private Entrance, Kitchen, Sleeps four Comfortably.
The Gandt House (The Third Nest) has two apartments suitable for long-term stays: Beverly's Tree House and Linda Lee's Townhouse. Beverly's Tree House is a very private space: honeymoon, weekend getaway or a long-term, extended stay for corporate business. And of course, it's perfect for a vacation.
We greet our Houston corporate, academic and medical center guests as we're very near all three. The Inn is equipped with wireless Internet, and it is complementary.
Robin's Nest has several options:
Larger Weddings – we can seat up to 75 for an outside ceremony under cover.
Smaller to mid-size Weddings – the ceremony is held either inside the Inn or outside under cover.
Honeymoon – includes music, seated wedding, your judge or minister and a night in our honeymoon suite.
Murder Mystery Parties – our scripts accommodate up to 16 characters. To give you a feel for our packages, each script will include: host instructions and set-up requirements, proposed agendas, the cast rules of the mystery, the story, host's script, various tangible evidence
Whatever the size of your ceremony and/or reception, we can provide as little or as much as you want.
Robin's Nest is available for private teas and for the private luncheon.
Robin's Nest is an inviting place. Our philosophy is that we all deserve to be pampered from time to time. We don't fuss over you unnecessarily, but want you to feel special as our guest. We have a beautiful parlor for your enjoyment. We also keep a tea/coffee station upstairs for a nice cup whenever the need arises.
We love animals and welcome yours. Our pet policy depends on the size, age, training, and disposition of both the pet and the owner.
